
Arkansas Baptist College competes in athletics as a member of the National Junior College Athletics Association in Region II. The Buffaloes compete in the NJCAA in football and men's and women's basketball. ABC has the only junior college football program in the state of Arkansas.
Arkansas Baptist College’s first season of football calls for an eight-game schedule, highlighted by a Sept. 15 match-up against Blinn College, the defending National Junior College Athletic Association champion, and two games in Little Rock at War Memorial Stadium.
ABC athletics director Charles Ripley announced the schedule July 5, saying it offers challenges and opportunities for Coach Richard Wilson’s Buffaloes.
Click here for complete story.Coach Richard Wilson announced seven assistant coaches for the Arkansas Baptist College football team at a Media Meet The Coaches Luncheon held July 12 in the Club Room at War Memorial Stadium.
The assistants are: Offense -- Joe Jefferson (coordinator), Isaac Davis and Reggie Swinton; Defense -- Ananias Johnson (coordinator), Keith Hamaker, Bill Hemingway and Danny Phillips. Johnson said position responsibilities are still to be decided. He hopes to add at least three more assistants before the Buffaloes begin practice Aug. 1.

Click here for complete story.Heralded running backs Michael Harris of Tulsa, Okla., and Juwan Franklin of Dunnellon, Fla., will be in Little Rock this weekend to report for the start of football practice at Arkansas Baptist College.
Athletic director Charles Ripley said Friday that Harris and Franklin had told him they would enroll for classes at ABC and play for the Buffaloes, who have Arkansas’ only junior college football program.
